Nashville Organized for Action and Hope (NOAH) has held public meetings where local public officials have addressed and committed to the issues of affordable housing, criminal justice, education, and economic equity.
Some of our past meetings include:
- October 25, 2020 - "The Fierce Urgency of Now"- NOAH's public meeting with Mayor John Cooper; MNPS School Chairwoman, Christiane Buggs; MNPS Executive Officer for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Ashford Hughes, MNPD Deputy Chief Kay Lokey; Councilwoman Kyonzte Toombs and legislative candidates.
- June-July 2020 - Four School Board Candidate Meetings - District 1 (July 9) - District 3 (June 30) - Districts 5 & 7 (uncontested districts - July 2) - District 9 (July 7)
- August 18, 2019 -Who is "IT" For? Run-Off Candidate Meeting with David Briley and John Cooper, who outline their plans if elected Mayor and commit to work with NOAH and meet with us quarterly.
- July 14, 2019 - Who Is "IT" For? NOAH's Candidate Meeting with 8 candidates for Mayor, securing their commitment to work with us on our issues and to meet with us quarterly.
- June 2, 2019 - NOAH's Issues Convention. NOAH member groups voting on the next issues to be addressed.
- October 28, 2018 - Rebuilding Public Trust. NOAH's public meeting with Mayor David Briley and Director of Schools Shawn Joseph on NOAH's issues (600 people attending)
- May 17, 2018 - A Race to the Future: Mayoral Candidate Public Meeting. NOAH's public meeting with 12 candidates for mayor in a specially called election. View event program here (roughly 700 people in attendance)
